Coming off a close victory against the demon deacons of Wake Forest, the Cardinals faced the Wolf Pack of NC State.

And let’s be real here, folks, the first half couldn’t have started off any better than it did for the Cardinals.  The Cardinals made an impressive nine three-pointers out of 12 shots and shot a near 60% overall from the field.

Freshman star Mikel Brown balled out during the first half, having scored 21 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, and having 2 assists.

Then at the start of the second half, right from the jump, Ryan Conwell would nail a deep-range shot and pair that with a nice 2-point bucket.  Up to this point in the game, Louisville is up 27 points and pretty much having their way with the Wolf Pack.

Things had pretty much stayed the same for Louisville as they continued to make shots? In particular, Brown would continue his dominance of the Wolf Pack. Being able to get the spacing he has gotten all game, paired with how he’s played, says a lot about the potential of this team moving forward.

Louisville hadn’t played this kind of ball in quite a while in the eyes and minds of CardNation. The way they’ve passed the ball, shot the ball, rebounded, any and everything was nearly perfect in regards to what the squad did tonight.

Mikel would finish the game with a freshman school single-game record of 45 points. He’d finally be taken out of the game having gone 10-15 from 3-point range.

Ryan Conwell would also add 31 points himself. Between the two of them, they’d contribute 76 of the 118 that Louisville would score.

Louisville now currently sits at 17-6 on the year, ranked 24th with a trip down to Texas as they face Baylor 2/14 @ 4 p.m.
