For the first time in 41 calendar days (8 games), the Louisville cardinals and #CardNation welcomed star point guard Mikel Brown back.
When he finally took to the court, his presence was evident and immediately noticed as the flow of the game and team morale was noticeably different. Mikel seemed to pick up right where he left off, almost in a sense like nothing was lost.
Right from the jump, the energy had shifted in the arena as 15,000 plus members of #CardNation came to the Yum Center at a much earlier time due to winter weather warnings. Mikel started making passes, shifting in between defenders, and going to the basket.
But let’s not forget what others on the squad were able to accomplish with Mikel back in the fold; Conwell and others were able to play their natural positions and feel more fluid in the offense.
Sananda Fru came into the game with a clean & crisp even taper fade to go along with his double-double he had during the game.
In closing, all is well as some would say; things appear to be back to normal with Mikel back in the fold.
