Man… the Titans are 0-2, and I honestly don’t even know why I keep wasting my Sundays on this crap. Under Brian Callahan, this team just doesn’t win games.
That’s the whole vibe right now. After getting punched in the mouth 33-19 by the Rams, Callahan’s record sits at 3-16.
Three wins. Sixteen losses. That’s just embarrassing.
For some perspective, the only coach since the Titans became the Titans in 1999 who had a worse run is Ken freakin’ Whisenhunt, and that guy went 3-23. We’re talking all-time dumpster fire territory here.
And here’s the real kicker: nothing has gotten better. Not the offense, not the defense, hell, even the vibes are trash.
The only thing that looks halfway competent right now is special teams, and that’s only because they were historically awful last year. It’s like going from a one-star Yelp review to a two-star review and acting like you just won an award.
But this team doesn’t just lose; they self-destruct. Stupid penalties, sacks, blown coverages, every single week they just find new ways to shoot themselves in the foot.
It’s like watching a drunk guy try to play Madden with his feet. Callahan even sounds beat down when he talks about it.
After the game, he was asked about the 10 penalties and basically said,
“Yeah, we had some false starts, some guy lined up where he shouldn’t have, really frustrating, been trying to fix it forever, still can’t.”
Like, dude, this is literally your whole job. And look, I don’t think Callahan’s a bad guy.
He clearly cares and probably loses sleep over this mess. But at some point, nobody cares how much you care when you just keep stacking L’s like Jenga blocks.
Going 0-2 doesn’t automatically kill your season. Teams have come back from worse.
But if you’re still convincing yourself this coaching staff is going to magically flip a switch and save the day, you’re probably higher than I am right now, and that’s saying something.
