So here’s the thing, Louisville did what we all thought and knew they’d do against the Colonels of EKU during opening weekend, but there were uncertainties going into the JMU game.
And let’s be real here for a second, 3/4th of that game showed exactly why there were uncertainties leading up to the JMU game.
I would just say, think, and assume, that Madison gave the Cardinals the first of mini punches to the proverbial face.
We all know the old saying, “a win is a win”, and that’s exactly just what the Cardinals did this past Friday in their second matchup of the season.
From Rocky waters to smooth seas, the Cardinals would go on to score the final 22 points of the game.
Of course Isaac Brown did just exactly what he’s going to do, as he would rush for 104 yards. Isaac would break loose for 78 of those yards late in the game as he broke loose to the home front.
Oh and let’s not forget the stellar performance the defense collectively would put on display.
When you have six sacks, seven tackles for loss, three pass breakups, and an interception along with a forced fumble, hard to compete with that.
The Cardinals are currently sitting at 2-0 , with a bye week this upcoming week.
After the bye week, they face off against the Eddie George-led Bowling Green Falcons on September 20th at L&N.
